Fees: Included in all debae class fees.
Speech only Registration Fee: $25 per family
Class Fee: Depends on the class. We offer a Parliamentary/Speech only class for $100 a semester. All speech classes are included.

First semester class fees are due with registration and second semester fees are due in January. There is a 20% discount on the Class Fee for families with more than one student in the household. Private Coaching: Private debate and speech coaching/tutoring is available for an additional fee of $25 per hour.

Apologetics

Apologetics is a Limited Prep speech in which students prepare a persuasive and reasoned speech that defends a tenet of the Christian faith and explains why that principle matters. This class will discuss in detail the list of topics published by Stoa preparing students for the upcoming tournaments.

Interps

Class Fee: Included id Debate or $50 per semester for non debate students.
In all interpretive events, competitors write, or select and analyze literature, then bring it to life through the creative use of voice, movement, and facial expression, without the aid of costumes or props. There are four types of Interp events: Dramatic Interp, Humorous Interp, Open Interp, and Duo Interp. This class will teach the basics of Interp and help students prepare for competition based on the interest of the individual student(s).

Mars Hill

In Mars Hill, the competitor uses books, movies, and other genres to discuss the appeal and impact of the theme(s) within the topic, holding them up in light of Christian truth found in the Bible. In this class we will be discussing the list of topics published by Stoa preparing students for the upcoming tournaments. This event and class is intended for competitors 14 and older or with the consent of the parents due to mature themes in some topics.

Platform speeches are prepared speeches, written by the competitor, with the purpose of informing, exposing, or persuading on a topic. There are three types of Platform speeches: Expository, Original Oratory, and Persuasive. Since the current Wild Card event, Oratory Analysis, is a type of Platform, it will also be covered in this class. This class will focus on the basics of writing and delivering a speech based on the interest of the individual student(s).
